Teapot Trust began working with the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow in 2012. Pre-pandemic, this took the form of two weekly open groups, on Tuesdays and Fridays, for the Rheumatology clinic, as well as providing one-to-one sessions for children and young people referred by Rheumatology clinicians and nurses. All told, 5697 art therapy sessions have been provided, supporting around 2,000 children.

During the pandemic, art therapy has been delivered online through both small groups and one to one support.

Service user, Olivia (aged 7) has been attending hospital regularly since she was very young, and has been visiting our art therapy group for over four years. To hear more about her story, click here.
