Gifts in Wills

With appropriate sensitivity, we’re encouraging our supporters to consider leaving a Gift in their Will to Teapot Trust. This will provide some “future proofing” for the charity so that we can be confident of meeting the needs of children and young people with chronic conditions in the years ahead.

Many people wrongly assume they won’t be able to give enough money to make a lasting impact.  But by including a Gift in a Will - perhaps giving a proportion of the residue of an estate rather than a specific sum – the value could be higher than you imagine, especially as there’s likely to be a time lapse of years between making your Will and the end of your life.  So please consider carefully whether this is an appropriate way for you to support our work in the longer term.

Reach Out

If you’d like to make a commitment to supporting Teapot Trust’s work in this special way, you simply need to arrange an appointment with a reputable solicitor who will need our name, charity number and address – Teapot Trust is a Registered SCIO (Charity Number SC041885) located at Suite 7, Ground Floor, Stuart House, Eskmills, Musselburgh EH21 7PQ.

The choice is entirely yours whether you tell us or your kind intentions or keep them private although we’d naturally like to thank you and to treat you as any other donor, keeping you informed of our work and its progress from time to time. Calls, which will be handled discreetly, can be made to  Sarah Randell or Caitlin Meagher on 0131 273 4340.  If you have any questions at all, please do get in touch. We’d love to hear from you.

On behalf of the children and young people we support – now and in the future – thank you.
