Corah, one of our brilliant art therapists, recently took part in a roundtable discussion about art and mental health for the 'Small Talk, Big Change' podcast series from Mental Health Foundation in Scotland.

The podcast explores what it takes to create a society where children and families can truly thrive. Episode 3 features Lou Brodie from Imaginate, Eleni Daskalaki-Denman, a Family Support Worker at Playful Minds Dundee, and Kai Peacock from Rolled Up Productions, and Corah Ambrose from Teapot Trust.

In the podcast Corah shares: "I see my role as an art therapist, as also an advocate for both my profession and the people that I'm working with"

Reflecting on the experience of doing the podcast Corah shared: "Thank you to The Mental Health Foundation for facilitating a really rich round table discussion about play and creativity beyond the early years. There is always something very nourishing that comes from sharing space with practitioners who also work alongside children and young people in the arts. I hope this discussion helps to advocate for art therapy as effective mental health support and highlights its multifaceted benefits and outcomes for children and young people."
