In 2015, we began our art therapy open group in Victoria Hospital. We work with the Rheumatology department to support children and young people attending their appointments. We frequently have parents, carers, siblings and grandparents join the table, due to the long time that the young patients often spend at the hospital – sometimes for several different appointments in the same day. As one mum tells us, this often has an impact on other family members as well as the child who is unwell:

"I met art therapist, Marjory, at Kirkcaldy Hospital who just was a total angel with my daughter and helped us both manage our anxiety about her appointment."

Now, the work has moved online – and  delivered in one-to-one art therapy sessions.
