Online Conference - Supporting Young People and Families Online

Teapot Trust is hosting an online conference for colleagues in Public Health and third sector Arts/Health organisations including patient advocacy groups and paediatric clinicians/clinical nurse leads on Thursday 25 March to share our learnings for wider benefit.

  • Our art therapists will share insights, which will be relevant to many other therapies in the current climate, from moving our art therapy online last March. We’ll include case studies to demonstrate how and why this has been effective therapy and what we’ve learned along the way.
  • We’ll also share insights from a best practice manual for art therapy developed by Teapot Trust art therapist, Dr Patricia Watts, and Trustee, Dr Simon Hackett.
  • Important learnings, likely to be of interest to colleagues keen to reach the unreached, come from our Community Partnerships with WHALE Arts and North Edinburgh Arts. Speaking together, we’ll be upfront about overcoming some initial set-backs and how we did so to ensure the work was of value to participants.

Everything we share will “translate” into different therapy contexts.

The day will run from 10am to 3pm. Participants can attend throughout or select specific sessions to suit their needs. Our keynote speaker, to be announced in due course, will set the tone for the day – collaboration framed within the context on mental health. We will also ensure there is some fun!
