Teapot Trust is led by CEO, Sarah Randell, supported by 6 committed staff, 7 experienced trustees, and 15 professionally qualified and registered art therapists.

In post since May 2019, Sarah is far-sighted strategically and relational in her approach. She has worked to achieve a sustainable model for the charity that ensures equitable access to its art therapy services. Now, the focus is growth. This is important as 1 in 4 children and young people in the UK live with a chronic health condition. Having won a show garden at RHS Chelsea in May 2023, which will have a permanent home at Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow, the publicity achieved will be used to widen access to art therapy where it is needed most profoundly.

Previously, Sarah held Development Director and Head of Fundraising roles with a national charity, a respected theatre, and a large school. She was also Deputy Director of a national membership organisation where her focus was helping member charities prepare to pass OSCR's charity/public benefit test. Sarah has joined organisations at times when pivotal change was needed to achieve growth.

Sarah has also committed significant time volunteering, especially in African slums, working alongside people living in extreme poverty.

Outside work, Sarah switches off through absorption in creative activities and being outdoors in nature – loving East Lothian’s beaches.
