Rumaisa is an MB-PhD student at the University of Glasgow, researching the relationship between immune cells and gut microbiota in arthritis.

Rumaisa has volunteered with a number of organisations including Amina MWRC and The Prince's Trust and was an intern on the John Smith Centre's Emerging Leaders programme.

As a medical student and poet, she is inspired by the Teapot Trust's work to bring the healing power of art to young people. She's looking forward to working with the dedicated, experienced, and ambitious team of Board and staff members at the Teapot Trust.
