Sarah Randell Chief Executive Expand Teapot Trust is led by CEO, Sarah Randell, supported by a committed and skilled team of staff (4) and trustees (7) with professionally qualified and registered art therapists retained on a self-employed/sessional basis (16). In post since May 2019, Sarah previously held Development Director roles in a large school, a city theatre, and a national charity. She was also Deputy Director of a national membership organisation where her focus was helping member charities prepare to pass OSCR's charity/public benefit test. Sarah has been drawn to organisations where pivotal change and ambition was needed to grow. In this, she has an impressive track record. Far-sighted strategically and highly relational in her approach, Sarah has made rapid progress at Teapot Trust, bringing a more sustainable model of work to the charity and forging community partnerships to reach the unreached. Empowering staff, Sarah has ensured the charity has fruitful relationships with its beneficiaries and supporters and achieved the goals of an ambitious strategic plan (reported on in our annual review). Outside work, Sarah feels most fully alive immersed in live theatre, she’s always keen to try new art making activities and often walks East Lothian’s beaches and woodlands to relax. Heather Stewart Grants Officer (Maternity Cover) Expand Heather joined Teapot Team in October 2020 as a Grants Officer. Although we're largely working from home during the pandemic, Heather's easy confidence enabled her to fit in straight away. She has hit the ground running with funding applications, working closely with our CEO on large bids, and has joined the Fundraising sub-committee of the board to share her broader experience. Heather brings over 20 years' experience as a fundraiser, working in higher education, heritage and the voluntary sector. For the past 12 years, she has worked as a freelance fundraiser for charities and social enterprises across the UK. She brings with her a broad knowledge of the sector and bags of enthusiasm for the role. As well as fundraising, Heather is also a skilled copywriter and a qualified yoga teacher. She regularly employs the meditation and relaxation she learned in yoga when dealing with her two teenagers and her energetic spaniels, Murdo and Crombie. [email protected]
Caitlin Meagher Supporter Engagement Officer Expand Caitlin joined Team Teapot in March 2018 to increase the charity’s community engagement. Now, she manages supporter relationships while juggling a busy schedule of fundraising campaigns and challenges – encouraging individuals, friendship groups and corporate colleagues to participate. Caitlin is a people person. Her warm and assured style has been praised frequently by supporters and colleagues alike. She enjoys the fast-paced nature of her role, especially interacting with stakeholders and seeing the impact of the charity's work. Her flexible approach and broad skill-set make Caitlin a real asset to the team. She's our tech/digital guru, who took a lead in producing Teapot Trust's Art Therapy At Home resource materials at the start of lockdown, which have been used over 30,000 times by children and families. Before joining Team Teapot, Caitlin worked for the State of New York and helped manage public outreach and engagement for historic sites. Having a BA and MSc in Archaeology, Caitlin enjoys spending her free time travelling and exploring historic places, almost as much as she likes being outdoors hiking, gardening, or trying to keep up with her energetic Sprocker, Willow. Kirsty Edwards Art Therapy Projects Manager Expand Kirsty has been a member of ‘Team Teapot’ since 2014, initially starting as a volunteer. Since then, her role has expanded in recognition of her obvious capabilities and potential - about which Kirsty herself is so modest! Now, she manages our art therapy programmes and is the key link with our hub of art therapists, hospitals and community partners. Kirsty also coordinates our Young Voices group and our Service Advisory group of health and other professionals which is a sub-committee of the board. As Teapot Trust seeks to step-change to grow, Kirsty is leading on new collaborative partnerships, ensuring our work achieves national wellbeing outcomes and that we share our learnings with colleagues in the Arts and Health sector for wider benefit. Kirsty feels privileged to be playing a key role in helping children and young people with chronic conditions. In her spare time, she enjoys trying new arts and crafts and being bossed about by the famous Teapot Trust cockapoo mascot, Lily, pictured with her above. [email protected] 0121 273 4340
