Gift Aid

Boost the value and impact of your donation to Teapot Trust with Gift Aid

As a registered charity (SC041885), Teapot Trust SCIO can collect 25p from the Inland Revenue for every £1 you donate if you’re a UK taxpayer. Just sign and return our Gift Aid Declaration and we’ll do the rest.

Tax-efficient giving for higher rate taxpayers who support Teapot Trust

If you pay tax at the higher rate of 40%, tax-efficient giving can make a significant difference if you’re willing to donate the tax rebate you can claim (the difference between the basic and higher rates) as well as the gift itself.

For instance, on a gift of £1,000, Teapot Trust will receive £1,250 after claiming Gift Aid while you can reclaim £250 from HMRC, reducing your net contribution to £750 but potentially increasing the sum Teapot Trust receives to £1,500.

Our illustration, below, shows tax-efficient giving for different levels of gifts. A print-friendly version of this information is available here.
