Role Description

Teapot Trust is looking to build its supporter base, and we are hoping to spread the word about what we do to our service users and their families. The main purpose of this role is to chat with the families of our service users to let them know about the mission of the Teapot Trust and what they can do to get involved and support us. As an awareness raiser and recruiter, the role will entail encouraging families to donate, sign up for our newsletter, and get involved by fundraising for us. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is interested in how art therapy works and is also looking to gain invaluable recruitment, outreach, and conversational skills. As well as valuable insight into the art therapy process, you will gain experience in effectively communicating and public engagement all while supporting a great cause and helping children with chronic illnesses.

  • Promoting the Teapot Trust and encouraging families to get involved
  • Handing out promotional information for the charity

Training and Support

We will provide any information you may need to promote the Teapot Trust and explain how art therapy helps our service members manage chronic conditions. Training will include background on the charity, information about our services, and ways people can get involved or support them.  We will work with you until you are comfortable promoting the charity and approaching people at our open group sessions.

Additional Information

Your schedule will depend on when our services are offered at the applicable hospital. A volunteer registration form and orientation must be completed before you begin your volunteering journey. We will need to obtain a confidentiality form and a PVG for you before starting as well. All materials will be provided and include a Teapot Trust t-shirt, promotional materials, and any materials you may need to understand the Teapot Trust and tell others about us.
