Volunteering has numerous benefits not only for the people you are helping, but also for you. Learn more about the benefits of volunteering for the Teapot Trust.
We will support you throughout your entire volunteering journey. We can provide fundraising packs, promotional materials, event guides, and general advice and tips. Additional training can be provided depending on your volunteer role. A designated Teapot Trust staff member will be your contact person who is always available for advice and support when needed.
Due to confidentiality around the art therapy sessions, volunteers are not permitted to work directly with our service users. All our art therapists are fully qualified to postgraduate level and possess extensive experience working with children. They are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT). If you are interested in getting involved in professional art therapy, please visit the BAAT website.
Because of our insurance policy, volunteers must be 18 years or older to volunteer for us. Contact us if you are under 18 and are interested in volunteering. We have worked with YPI and Duke of Edinburgh groups in the past and may be able to provide an opportunity for you to get involved.
All of our roles require a positive attitude and a friendly personality. Some of our roles require particular skills, but most importantly, you must have a passion to help our cause. Check out our volunteering opportunities for details about the skills associated with each role. Training will be provided to help you in your specific role.
Absolutely! We want our volunteers to enjoy their volunteering roles, and completing a fundraiser with your friends and family is a great way to do so. You can also consider setting up a fundraising group in your area to help expand the Teapot Team and have fun while helping a great cause.
All reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed by the Teapot Trust.
I’d like to volunteer but I can’t commit to a structured volunteer role. What are some other ways that I can get involved?
