Positive feedback at BSPAR Conference

Our founder Laura Young attended the annual BSPAR (British Society for Paediatric and Adolescent Rheumatology) conference in Dublin earlier this month. She was particularly pleased that health care professionals from Scotland noted that thanks to the Teapot Trust the number of children refusing treatment has decreased in the last few years. Children suffering from rheumatological conditions often have to undergo frequent painful injections and art therapy helps both to distract and soothe children before these stressful events. It was so gratifying to hear that the work of our art therapists in hospitals across Scotland really makes a difference to the day to day lives of children with chronic illness.
