Global’s Make Some Noise was created by Global, the media & entertainment group. Global is home to the country’s most loved commercial radio brands Capital, Capital Xtra, Heart, Radio X, Classic FM, LBC, Smooth, Smooth Extra and Gold. Together these brands reach 23 million people every week on the radio, 10 million unique users every month on Global’s digital platforms and six million people on Global’s social media channels. On October 8th, Global will unite its audiences and its friends from the worlds of media and entertainment to make some noise and raise money for disadvantaged youngsters. The Teapot Trust has been selected as a beneficiary, and will receive a grant as well as an opportunity to tell its story on the radio.

Emma Bradley, director, Global’s Make Some Noise, said: “Twenty-three million people tune in to our radio stations every week and tens of millions more watch our TV channels and visit our digital platforms. This puts us in an incredible position. We set up Global’s Make Some Noise to help charities that would otherwise struggle to reach people. By giving them a voice on our radio stations and our other platforms, they can talk to tens of millions of people and raise money to help disadvantaged youngsters right across the UK. We’re so pleased to be supporting The Teapot Trust as part of our 2015 campaign and that we can help give The Teapot Trust a voice and reach millions of people, raising awareness and as much money as we can through this year’s campaign.”

A big well done to Etienne who raised £168.77 for us this weekend at her bake sale in Ormiston! This money will help us continue to provide art therapy to sick kids in Scotland.

We had a great day at the Health and Wellbeing Fair at Cockenzie House. Thank you everyone who visited our stall and to local MSP Iain Gray for stopping by too!

A big thank you to John Durrand and his team ‘The Northern Northerner’s’ who raised an amazing  £1986.55 for us at the Tough Mudder event at Drumlanrig Castle in June. This money will help us continue our service at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.

We are delighted to have been listed as one of My Favourite Voucher Codes charities. My Favourite Voucher Codes donate 20% of their profit to a chosen charity each month. They work with over 2,400 of the UK’s most popular retailers, including Marks and Spencer, Boots and Virgin Experience Days, and have over 4,000 live voucher codes and offers. Their philosophy is that consumers can save money on their shopping and help good causes at the same time, so everybody benefits. Shopping, saving and giving to charity has never been so rewarding!

Check back next month to see if we have been chosen for the monthly draw!
